A school district police officer has been accused of assaulting a woman multiple times and threatening to kill her.
Heriberto Morales, 47, has been charged with third-degree felony continuous domestic violence.
Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables said a woman reported that she and Morales got into an argument on June 1 and it led to a physical confrontation. The woman said Morales grabbed her waist, squeezed her and forced her head toward a sink filled with water, detectives said.
The woman said Morales, an Aldine Independent School District police officer, also threw her to the ground and threatened to kill her, investigators said.
Detectives said there were other confrontations between Morales and the woman in November, December and January that involved physical violence and threats. Deputy constables said the woman was thrown on the ground, kneed in the stomach, punched, dragged out of her bed and her life was threatened.
The woman said she was in constant fear for her life, investigators said.
Morales has been booked into the Harris County Jail. Bond has not been set.
Aldine ISD said Morales has worked for the district for more than nine years. He has been placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
