HOUSTON -

If you're getting a little blue after days of cloudy skies and rounds of rain around the area, there's hope on the horizon!  Expect one more rush of rain Tuesday morning before the skies above southeast Texas dry out and brighten up.

An area of low pressure over southern Texas will ride up the coast and, with the help of an upper level disturbance over the southwestern states, bring showers to Houston from the morning drive through lunch time.  By afternoon, the surface low will pass into Louisiana and pull the rain well to our east.

Even though the rain pulls out, the clouds will likely hang tough.  If we see any sunshine Tuesday afternoon, we should consider ourselves lucky.

By Wednesday, though, high pressure will take over and the clouds should retreat.  We'll see sunny skies and enjoy seasonable temperatures in the 60s as we head through the rest of the work week.
