HUMBLE, Texas -- A man and his dog escaped a fire that destroyed their home on Wednesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Firefighters responded to the blaze on Lakeville Drive near Wildridge Drive in Humble at about 3:20 a.m.

Officials said the man managed to move two cars out of the way of the fire.

Crews soaked neighboring homes with water to prevent the fire from spreading.

No injuries were reported.

Arson investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
