CLEVELAND, Texas -- The son of a Cleveland, Texas, woman missing for nearly three weeks was charged with her murder along with another man, KPRC Local 2 reported Thursday.
Gloria Ryan, 51, was last seen alive at her home on Aug. 6.
Information in the case led Texas EquuSearch to move the concentration of its search from the Cleveland area to southeast Houston.
Searchers looked for a blanket because Corderral Smith, 18, told police he knew a little about his mother's whereabouts.
"Part of what he admitted to is pulling off to the side of the road, someplace real close to the road and rolling the body out," said Jerry Luco with Texas EquuSearch.
Corderral Smith and an acquaintance, Jason Rizzi, were charged with capital murder.
Police said Ryan's van was found parked in north Houston last week.
Family members are distraught.
"She's a lovely person. She's my sister. I loved her. We loved her. I still love her and I’m hurting. I miss my sister," brother Lee Ryan said.
