HOUSTON -- An Amber Alert for a 3-year-old girl kidnapped by her father after he allegedly stabbed her mother to death has been canceled, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Danielle Jimenez is still missing, officials said.

Deputies said Leandro Jimenez took the girl from her mother's home on Tuesday.

Leandro Jimenez has been charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of his estranged wife, Sonia Jimenez.

Sonia Jimenez was found dead in the parking lot of a Channelview apartment complex on Monday.

Leandro Jimenez was last seen driving a silver-colored extended cab 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck with Texas license plate 9NG H92. The truck has chrome wheels.

The Amber Alert was canceled because it expired. Harris County detectives are actively investigating the case and searching for Jimenez.
