RICHMOND, Texas -- A man possibly responsible for up to 50 apartment burglaries has been arrested, officials told KPRC Local 2.
Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office officials said Tyrone Rodgers, 28, was arrested on Friday after a deputy spotted a car matching the description of a vehicle seen at several burglaries over the past year.
Investigators said Rodgers was driving a black Jaguar with tinted windows and paper license plates in the 2800 block of Commercial Center Boulevard in Katy when he was arrested.
Deputies recovered property stolen in recent burglaries during Rodgers' arrest, officials said.
Rodgers may be responsible for up to 50 burglaries in Fort Bend County, Sugar Land and Stafford, officials said. Investigators said Rodgers admitted he had committed at least five burglaries.
Rogers is in the Fort Bend County Jail charged on a $1 million bond on a charge of burglary of a habitation, and no bond on a separate count of burglary of a habitation.
