Elevator Motor Fire Forces High-Rise Evacuation

No Injuries Reported

A downtown high-rise building was evacuated when an elevator motor caught fire Wednesday, officials told KPRC Local 2.

Firefighters responded to Two Houston Center on Fannin Street near Walker Street just after 6 p.m.

The building was evacuated for a short time while crews tended to the 2-alarm fire.

No injuries were reported.
