POSTED: Wednesday, July 12, 2006
UPDATED: 2:26 pm CDT July 12, 2006

A North Carolina man left partially paralyzed after an accident related to the running of the bulls in Pamplona remains in a Spanish hospital.

Ray Ducharme's family is working to bring him back to the United States.

Mike Waters, Ducharme's brother-in-law, said on the family's Web site that a pilot strike in Spain has slowed the process of bringing Ducharme home and made it difficult for the family to travel with him.

Wednesday's running of the bulls also left dozens of people battered and bruised and one man in the hospital.

Officials said a Spaniard was hospitalized with head and back injuries after tripping in front of the bulls. He was expected to be released later Wednesday.

Dozens of runners were also treated for minor injuries at the scene.
