Police Chase Ends When Robbery Suspects' Car Runs Out Of Gas

Three men who led police officers on a chase through southwest Houston were caught when their car ran out of gas, officials told KPRC Local 2.

The chase started around 4:30 a.m. Friday on Bellaire Boulevard near Beltway 8.

The men led officers in at least 10 different patrol cars down the Beltway, to the Southwest Freeway and later the South Loop.

The car the men were in ran out of gas on the feeder road of the South Loop at Kirby Drive, where officers used their patrol cars to box in the suspects' car.

All three were taken into custody. Officials said the men were wanted in connection with a robbery.

No one was injured during the chase.
