Car Was Abandoned

HOUSTON -- A car caught on fire and exploded on a major freeway Thursday, KPRC Local 2 reported.Crews responded to the fire on the Katy Freeway near Barker Cypress Road at about 2:30 a.m.Officials said the car had been abandoned on the side of the road.Investigators are working to determine who the car belonged to and how the fire started.No injuries were reported.
