Sex Offenders Web Site Goes Online

Top 10 Most Wanted Featured On Site

Mayor Lee P. Brown and Houston police chief C.O. Bradford, along with various local victims' rights groups, gathered Thursday to announce that a newly developed sex offenders Web site in now up and running.

The Web site, www.crime-stoppers.org, features previously convicted sex offenders currently wanted for parole violations.

Houston's top 10 most wanted parole violating sex offenders have been selected, and their images have been posted on the new site.

Brown originally announced the city's initiative to identify and locate Houston's most wanted sex offenders last month.

The program was developed through the efforts of the city of Houston, the Houston Police Department, Houston Crime Stoppers and the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.
