UPDATED: 1:22 pm CDT June 16, 2006

A $10,000 reward was offered for information about the shooting death of a man at his store Thursday.

Officials said they hope the reward, offered by Schepps Dairy, will help them obtain more information on two men wanted for killing Thi Viet Nguyen, 49, at the Happy Food Store in the 8900 block of Veterans Memorial Drive.

Investigators said two black males, dressed in all black with their faces covered, pointed a gun at Nguyen and forced his wife to open the cash drawer and safe at gunpoint.

Officials said one of the men began arguing with Nguyen and shot him.

Nguyen's 11-year-old son was in the store at the time of the shooting.

Detectives said the men got away with cash and cigarettes.

Officials said the men were last seen in a white car with no license plates. The car was found abandoned several blocks from the scene. Officials said the car was reported stolen in another robbery.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Houston police at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
