2-Year-Old Nearly Hit By Car

HOUSTON -- A motorist found a toddler walking alone on a busy street Wednesday, KPRC Local 2 reported."A passerby saw a 2-year-old walking in the middle of Broadway," Officer L.T. Truman said. "Almost got hit by a car."The toddler was supposed to be inside a nearby apartment with his 16-year-old babysitter.The teenager told police that she fell asleep and did not hear the toddler walk out of the apartment.Officials said no charges have been filed and the case will be turned over to Child Protective Services for review.
