HOUSTON -- A three-alarm fire broke out Thursday morning at a northwest Harris County window company, KPRC Local 2 reported.Fire crews were called to Champion Window Corp., located at 12427 Duncan Road, at about 4:40 a.m.Flames and heavy smoke were pouring from a warehouse at the 27-acre complex when firefighters arrived. Some nearby trees also caught fire.
Six volunteer fire departments responded to the scene. The fire was brought under control by 7 a.m.Employees were sent home when they showed up to work.No injuries were reported.The cause is not yet known, but officials said welding gas might be a factor.
