Car Slams Into Apartment While Resident Takes Shower

No One Injured

HOUSTON -- A car slammed into a southeast apartment Monday while the resident was taking a shower, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Deputies said the driver crashed into the apartment in the 1200 block of Bay Area Boulevard near Saturn shortly after 9 a.m. as he tried to get away from another hit-and-run wreck in which he was involved.

The apartment resident said he was taking a shower when the vehicle plowed through his living room wall. His furniture was pushed into the kitchen.

The apartment sustained major structural damage, but no one was injured.

Officials said the driver ran away from the scene on foot.
