No Injuries Reported

POSTED: Wednesday, April 26, 2006

Lightning was blamed for sparking two house fires when severe weather moved in overnight, KPRC Local 2 reported Wednesday.

The first blaze happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. in Cy-Fair, in northwest Harris County.

Officials said a lightning strike hit the roof of a home in the 16000 block of Kyle Crest Trail near Timberline Trail.

The damage was contained to the roof.

The second fire occurred a short time later in Spring at a home on Tuckahoe near Bellchase.

Witnesses said smoke came from the master bedroom and roof.

No one was injured in either fire.
