9 injured in rollover crash in northeast Houston

Driver arrested on suspicion of DWI

HOUSTON – Police are investigating a major rollover crash that sent nine people to the hospital in northeast Houston on Saturday night.

Police said a pickup truck ran a red light at the intersection on Greens Road and Lee Road about 10:30 p.m. An oncoming car slammed into the side of the truck, causing the truck to flip multiple times.

Police said there were five adults and four children in the truck at the time of the accident. The children were between the ages of 2 months to 12 years old. Everyone was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the truck was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. That person's name has not been released.
