Yates To Have Limited Visitors
Attorney Only Allowing Her Husband, Mother, Mother-In-Law
HOUSTON -- Andrea Yates, the woman accused of drowning her children, will have a limited number of visitors at the county jail.
Yates' attorney George Parnham said that his client will only be allowed to receive visits from her husband, mother and mother-in-law.
Patrick Kennedy, Yates' brother, said that he doesn't think that his sister even recognized him.
"There was just a blackness in her eyes," Kennedy said. "I don't know if she was there or in her heart, but from what I saw in her eyes and the response I got from her is that she is just not there."
Kennedy said that Yates' current state reminded him of how she acted when she attempted to commit suicide after the birth of her fourth child.
"That same person was back again, the darkness, the no response, the person I saw in jail," Kennedy said.
A grand jury will convene on Monday to hear the capital murder case.
