Complaints Of Foul Smell Lead Police To Dead Man

Officers Find Man Dead Inside Car's Back Seat

Police found a man dead inside a car while investigating complaints of a foul odor at a southwest Houston apartment complex on Sunday.

Residents of the Summerset Landing Apartments on Reims Road near Bellerive Drive called police at about 6:30 p.m. complaining of a foul odor coming from a car in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers found a man's body stuffed in the car's back seat.

Investigators suspect the man was killed on Saturday. A cause of the killing has not been determined.

The victim's identity has not been released.
