Doctor Arested For Healing Patients With Sex
Man Charged With Rare Felony Crime
A local doctor who used sex to "cure" patients was arrested Friday and charged with a rare felony crime.
What Kind Of Medicine Did A Doctor Describe?
Dr. Marvin Stone was arrested after the Houston Police Department Vice Squad uncovered that his therapy sessions included sex with patients. Police said that male patients were given women to have sex with. He was charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution.
"It's a new twist when you see sex therapy," Capt. David Cutler said.
Cutler became suspicious of Stone's practice after he saw an advertisement in the back of the Houston Press.
"It talked about gorgeous female sex therapy and a number of other things," Cutler said. "It just screamed a possible front for prostitution."
The police uncovered the doctor's sessions after two undercover officers posed as patients. Cutler said that Stone offered to have sex with the female officer and the male officer was going to be setup with two female therapists.
"He verbally depicted what sex he was going to receive, what kind of therapy he was going to receive: anal sex, oral sex, regular sex," Cutler said.
Emily Pease and Stephanie Kerian, Stone's co-workers, were charged with misdemeanor prostitution.
