The Spinner Rollercoaster became stuck at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Carnival on Friday night at Reliant Park, Local 2 reported.
The ride got stuck at about 11 p.m., and several children were confined to the top of the ride for nearly an hour, Local 2 reported from Reliant Park.
As Local 2 reported Friday, several crews walked up to the ride and talked with the stranded children while their parents looked on.
The rodeo's media staff told Local 2 that two people are on site everyday to ensure the carnival riders' safety.
Officials said a supervisor was also on the ride at the time of the incident. A company named Colter Consulting, that handles safety issues, was at the carnival investigating the incident.
One official said, "This type of thing happens very rarely and the children were never in any danger."
