HOUSTON -- A fast-food restaurant employee was shot in the leg during a robbery in northwest Houston, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Police said two men entered the Burger King restaurant on Ella Boulevard near the 610 North Loop West at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The pair demanded money, but were so nervous that one fumbled with his gun and accidentally shot a 45-year-old employee, according to investigators.
The wounded man is expected to be OK.
No one else was injured.
The crooks escaped.
