Autopsy Shows Woman Died From Prescription Drug Overdose

HOUSTON -- A Houston chiropractor found dead in northwest Houston took her own life, according to an autopsy report released by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office this week.KPRC Local 2 reported on Thursday that the medical examiners determined Dr. Melinda Superville's cause of death was suicide due to toxic effects of acetaminophen, hydrocodone and diazepam.Superville was reported missing on Dec. 2 and was found dead a week later inside a vacant home on Antoine near Hammerly, blocks from her home and office.Investigators said the death was suspicious because a gun was found near her body, however, the gun was never fired.
