A specialized volunteer search team based in Texas is seeing brighter days thanks to donations and federal grant money.

Texas EquuSearch was $60,000 in debt, but found Tim Miller said the search-and-rescue organization is now making a slow recovery.

Miller said EquuSearch has recently received federal grants and $12,000 in donations.

In December, EquuSearch helped find the bodies of a missing 12-year-old girl, Teketria Buggs, and missing University of Houston-Downtown student, Nate Hendrickson.

The group has also helped in the search of Aruba for missing Alabama teen, Natalee Holloway.
