Passer-By Finds Patient Who Walked Out Of Hospital

Woman, 48, Walked Out Of Hospital Wearing Only Gown

POSTED: Wednesday, December 21, 2005
UPDATED: 10:06 am CST December 21, 2005

An injured woman who walked out of a Houston hospital wearing only a gown Tuesday morning was found hours later.

Police said 48-year-old Jacqulyn Neal was found Tuesday night after disappearing from Ben Taub Hospital earlier in the day.

Officers said someone found Neal off Highway 288 and Yellowstone Boulevard and took her back to the hospital at about 11:30 p.m.

Hospital officials were concerned about Neal's well being because she has a reduced mental capacity due to an accident.

Doctors said Neal appeared to be OK when she was returned to the hospital.
