HOUSTON -- A woman was injured Monday during an emergency evacuation of a Continental Airlines plane at Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Flight 1425 from Mexico City made a routine landing at about 5:50 p.m., but as the aircraft taxied to the terminal, the crew smelled smoke.
As a precaution, all 94 passengers were evacuated from the plane using emergency slides.
A woman evacuating the plane hurt her ankle.
Officials said there were no signs of fire on the plane.
"We're going to take a close look at it from a technical standpoint to try and find out what led the fumes to being in the cabin. I think we're going to need more time to diagnose that," said David Messing, a spokesman for Continental Airlines.
