HOUSTON – All northbound lanes of Interstate 45 North at FM-1960 reopened after a 5-vehicle wreck, involving an 18-wheeler that leaked more than 200 gallons in fuel.
According to Houston Transtar, the accident was reported about 5:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Texas Department of Transportation officials said hazardous materials personnel were called out to clean up the fuel. The 18-wheeler had just filled up, which is why it leaked such a large amount of fuel. Cleanup took hours and was cleared around 9:25 p.m.
Officials said no injuries were reported.
