Five people have been arrested in a meth lab bust in Liberty County.

According to the Liberty County Sheriff's Department, an active meth lab was in operation and guns, tools and other stolen items were recovered from the residence located at 668 CR 2250 in the Tarkington area.

Deputies say an investigation at the home of 33-year-old Clinton James Laudermill led to his arrest along with: Jason Karl Hill, 38, of the GroventonTrinity, Texas area; Toni Danielle Lang, 28, of the Tarkington area; Tonia Kay Small, 44, of the Daisetta, Texas area, and Elisha Louise Blanchard, 33, of the Liberty area.

All were arrested and charged with possession and transportation of chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, a second degree felony.

Stolen property was recovered from Laudermill's home and deputies say it appears a total of four to five burglaries will be cleared up as a result of the arrests. Additional arrests are possible.

The five are in the Liberty County Jail with other charges pending. At this time, no bond had been set.
