Five people accused of being members of the Felony Lane Gang are in custody after they were busted cashing a stolen check.
This group is based primarily in Florida, but members are accused of running a nationwide theft ring, stretching all the way to Texas.
The FBI said the group targets women who leave their purses, checkbooks and wallets in their car while at the gym or other public places.
Investigators told Local 2 they arrested the five suspects at the Red Roof Inn on I-10 near Federal, after the group cashed a stolen check at a nearby bank.
Police say the group got it's nickname because members always use the outside lane of a bank drive-thru when cashing stolen checks.
