A high-speed chase came to a slow end in Fort Bend County Wednesday morning when the car ran out of gas.

Authorities arrested the driver and a passenger at a Stafford Shell gas station at West Airport and the Southwest Freeway shortly before 4 a.m.

A Harris County Precinct 3 deputy said a constable tried to pull over a white Honda after it ran a stop sign on Tidwell at Van Hut in northeast Harris County.

However, the driver refused to pull over and led officers on a chase through Houston that reached 100 mph.

The driver told authorities he did not pull over because he had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Officials said the driver called 911 and talked with a dispatcher throughout the chase.

Authorities said the driver faces a felony evading arrest charge along with charges from previous warrants.

Officials have not said if the passenger would face any charges.
