Lap Dance Refund Demand Prompts Strip Club Shooting

Patron Says He Didn't Get What He Paid For, Shoots Manager

UPDATED: 7:44 am CDT April 20, 2005

The manager of a strip club recovered in a hospital Wednesday morning after police said a customer, who was upset about a lap dance, shot him, police told Local 2.

Investigators said the man was kicked out of the Passion Cabaret on North Shepherd at Veteran's Memorial in northwest Houston but came back at about 1:30 a.m. demanding money for a lap dance he said he did not receive.

Police said that is when the customer opened fire.

A bullet grazed the manager's head. He was transported to Ben Taub Hospital and is expected to be OK.

The customer fled the scene on foot.
