    EVENT DESCRIPTION: Walk for Education is the 2nd annual Walk event that will be held in conjunction with the HP Houston Marathon/Houston Press 5K on Sunday, January 16 at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Students, teachers, parents, businesses and community leaders will walk in support of public education. The Walk kicks off at 7:20a and is 3.1 miles. Our goal is to generate $700,000 or $1 for each public school student in Harris County. There's still time to sign up.     EVENT DESCRIPTION: Houston Arboretum marks 20 years of Arbor Day Celebrations For 20 years, the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center has encouraged the planting and preservation of trees at its Arbor Day celebration each January, and this year will be no different. On Saturday, January 22, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the non-profit nature sanctuary located near Memorial Park (4501 Woodway) will once again offer Houstonians a day of activities to learn about the benefits of planting trees. Over 2,000 tree seedlings will be given away (one per family) at the event. In addition Nature Center staff will provide tree planting demonstrations and care tips.     EVENT DESCRIPTION: As some of you may already know, Joseph Anthony Zapata relapsed again. The leukemia unfortunately has returned and there will not be any more treatment for Anthony. At this point the doctors are going to try and make him as comfortable as possible. I want to thank you all very much for helping by giving blood, passing on the prayer requests and for keeping the Zapata family in your prayers. Make a Wish foundation is going to be throwing a party for Anthony and the Zapata family - this party is to be a "Celebration of Anthony’s life."
