HOUSTON -

One man was arrested after an armed robbery at a smoke shop in the Ponderosa Forest area.

Harris County investigators said four men drove up to the "High Tymes Smoke Shop" on Farm to Market Road 1960 around 8:45 p.m. Friday.

Three suspects with their faces covered got out of the car and walked inside the store holding automatic weapons, investigators said.

According to reports, they pointed their guns at the employees and stole cash and other items from the store.

Deputies said the suspects got back in the car and were speeding away from the scene when the driver suddenly lost control and crashed into a wooden utility pole.

All four men jumped out and tried to run away, but nearby deputies spotted the suspects and started chasing them.

They managed to catch one of the them, deputies said, but the other three escaped.
