Fort Bend County authorities released surveillance video of four men who forced their way inside a home Monday and terrorized a family.
Video from the home near Bissonnet and Wynbourn Cort captured the very moment they drove up and blocked the driveway.
In the video, the men can be seen getting out of their car with another man, wearing what appears to be a law enforcement badge around his neck, leading the way. That man is them seen knocking on the door before the three others casually stroll up the driveway with weapons in hand, at least one of them wearing a mask.
A neighbor saw the car and felt something was wrong.
"I saw a vehicle in front of the house and I stopped and I looked," said one woman who did not want to be identified. "And I was like, 'That doesn't look right. I've never seen that vehicle.''"
The men apparently entered through a garage which may have been open. Once inside they gathered up the four people in the home, including two children.
No one was hurt but the intruders demanded cash. It's not known what they got away with, but neighbors now are on alert, doing their best to protect themselves.
"All the precautions are in the house," said Richard Dias. "That's all I can do, keep all the precautions in the house. That's my best advice and I'm pretty sure that's what other neighbors are doing too."
