4 arrested in AT&T store robbery after chase

HARRIS COUNTY – Four people are in custody following a robbery at a Montgomery County cell phone store and a chase through two counties.

The Montgomery County Precinct Three Constable's Office said it all began around 3:20 p.m. Sunday with reports of an armed robbery at an AT&T store on Rayford Road near Imperial Oaks Blvd.

According to Chief Deputy Matt Rodrique, a deputy then spotted a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle's description on Interstate 45 and followed it until he was joined by a Shenandoah police officer.

A chase began when the suspects refused to pull over.

Rodrique said the suspects' vehicle hit one or two vehicles at the intersection of Ella and Rankin. The chase ended in a nearby subdivision when it caused a minivan to crash.

According to Rodrique, two suspects were taken into custody at the scene and the other two were located in the nearby woods.

"The second two suspects were then apprehended, one by the HPD K-9, and the second by the Harris County Sheriff's Office K-9," said Rodrique.

One of the suspects was taken to the hospital after he was bit by the K-9. Rodrique said all four suspects would eventually be booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Police identified the four suspects as 24-year-old Leonard Bledsoe, 35-year-old Lance Dobbins, 22-year-old Gregory Portis and 22-year-old Adrian Thedford.
