HOUSTON -- An illegal left turn caused the 53rd accident involving Houston's light-rail system since it began operating in November 2003, METRO officials told News2Houston.

Can METRO Reduce Number Of Accidents?

A vehicle carrying two people made an illegal left turn around 9:45 a.m. Thursday, colliding with a train traveling south between Fannin and Dryden, according to officials.

Officials cited the driver for the collision.

No injuries were reported.
