The pastor accused of sexually assaulting a church secretary in 1998 faced a setback in his case Monday.

James Tucker

Defense attorneys for the Rev. Jim Tucker received a big blow to their case Monday when the judge said he would allow the testimony of two other women who alleged the former pastor sexually assaulted them 20 years ago.

Tucker was pastor at Abundant Life Church of North Houston, 713 E. Airtex.

The accuser's husband, who worked at the church, said he confronted Tucker about his wife's allegations, but the pastor convinced him not to tell the church elders. The alleged crime was reported 1½ years after it allegedly occurred.
