Three people have been arrested in a fatal shooting in southeast Houston. Five others had previously been arrested and charged in connection with the crime.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. on March 18 at 4141 Barberry Drive.
Police say the victim went to the address looking for men who had robbed his sister.
He approached a group of men who he thought committed the robbery, according to authorities. That's when investigators say one of the men pulled a gun on the victim and shot him. The victim ran away but died a few blocks away from the scene.
Adrian Brazile, 22, is accused of firing the fatal shots. He was arrested several hours later without incident and has already been charged with murder.
Additional investigation by the HPD Homicide Division, the southeast patrol divisions and the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders task force led to the arrests of Travis Randle, Gary Reese and Demeche Williams.
Williams, 24, is charged with capital murder. Reese, 18, is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Randle, 27, is charged with a felon in possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
Police say a 16-year-old was also arrested on a capital murder charge and was referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities.
Derrick Vigne Taylor, 20, was previously charged and arrested for capital murder. Kenneth Taylor, 18, and Anthony Ford, 19, had previously been charged and arrested with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
