HOUSTON – Two students and a driver were injured Friday after an accident involving an HISD school bus in southwest Houston.
Officials said a car travelling southbound on Beechnut at Braeburn Valley hit the driver's side of the school bus at 6:30 a.m.
The car's driver was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition.
The bus was carrying three students from Scarborough High School when it was hit. One female student was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other two students were checked out at the scene before they were transported to school. One of those students later complained of leg pain and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
The bus driver was not seriously hurt.
The crash is under investigation.
