HOUSTON -

Three people were injured in a five-car crash in north Houston.

Around 11:30 p.m., a black SUV was seen weaving in and out of traffic.  Police said the SUV clipped another vehicle, causing it to spin out of control and collide head-on with the SUV.

According to reports, a pickup truck stopped for the accident, and it was struck by another car, which caused a fifth car to run into the fourth vehicle.

Emergency crews transported three people to the hospital in stable condition.  Their names were not released.

HPD said they believe alcohol played a factor in the initial crash.
