A man is in custody after a SWAT standoff in northeast Houston.
It started around 8 p.m. Wednesday when Houston police received a call about shots fired at the home on Cheatham and Thomas Road.
When officers arrived, they said a man inside refused to come out and barricaded himself inside.
SWAT officers were called in because officers said the man was known to have guns.
After three hours, SWAT officers were able to go in and take the man into custody without any shots fired.
Investigators said the man claimed to have been seeing shadows and wanted to shoot them.
He was taken to the hospital to undergo a mental evaluation.
