3 homes burglarized in 2 days
One family has thousands of dollars in jewelry stolen
Thieves target northwest Houston homes
Police are looking for thieves who broke into three homes over two days in one northwest Houston community.
Guy Hogue said a thief threw a landscaping brick through the back window of his home at about 11:00 a.m. Feb. 1. He and his wife were gone at the time.
Someone then came through the game room window of their home on Candletree in northwest Houston. They said the thieves stole several thousand dollars in family jewelry, and it will cost another $650 for repairs.
"Thirty-five by fifty-four inch window in the back of the game room. When it went through the back of the window, hit on the game table, and messed up the game table pretty. We have to get it prepared also," said Hogue.
He was not alone. Houston police said there was a similar break-in about an hour later in the 1200 block of Cheshire. In that case, someone came through a bedroom window.
Police said a similar crime happened in the 1100 block of West 31st Street on Feb. 2.
Houston Police are investigating. They said solving these crimes will depend on neighbors looking out for each other and reporting anything unusual.
