3 arrested in Montgomery County robberies, 1 still at large

MCSO searching for fourth robbery suspect who fled

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Three men are accused of three robberies early Sunday Morning in Harris and Montgomery counties.

Montgomery County Sheriff's investigators said the three men could be responsible for many more robberies up and down the I-45 corridor.

"It's been a crime spree and the idea of getting them off of the streets and holding them accountable for what they did means a lot to law enforcement," said Lt. Brady Fitzgerald, with the Montgomery County Sheriff's office.

The first robbery took place in Harris County early Sunday morning. The second happened as two people were robbed by three men at gunpoint while sitting in their car on Lake Robbins in the Woodlands. Sheriff's investigators said the victims got a good look at the men and their getaway car.

Then, about 30 minutes later, at 3:00 a.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office got a call that the employees and customers at the Denny's Restaurant in the 6100 block of FM 1488 in Magnolia had also been robbed.

The description matched the ones given in the two earlier robberies Sunday and it matched descriptions given from other cases in earlier cases.

"Those three are going to be a suspect in the IHOP robbery that occurred in Montgomery County two weeks ago," said Fitzgerald.

Not long after the Denny's robbery, Oak Ridge North Police officers spotted and pulled over a car headed south on I-45 matching the robbery suspect's car. Police said one suspect jumped out and ran. Three men were arrested.

Samuel Roy Horace Jr., 18, Kurland Troy Lloyd Jr., 18, and Cadarien Roberts, 19, have all been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery. Deputies said the three could face more charges.

The man who fled the car has not been located at this time, according to authorities. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is working to identify him.
