HOUSTON – The Houston Fire Department is trying to extinguish a fire in southeast Houston.
A three-alarm fire has been reported near Cullen Boulevard and the 4100 block of the Gulf Freeway.

The building has been abandoned for 20 years. Two firefighters had heat-related illnesses but were not transported to the hospital and were treated at the scene.
The third alarm was called at 5:41 p.m. because of the heat. The second alarm was called 13 minutes prior.
