FRIENDSWOOD, Texas -

Three people have been accused of setting off an acid bomb at a fast-food restaurant.

Friendswood police said employees and customers of a Wendy's in the 100 block of East Edgewood Drive called them about 7:15 p.m. Jan. 29 after they heard a loud boom at the entryway.

Investigators determined that the noise was caused by an acid bomb. Baking soda was used to neutralize the liquid. No one was hurt.

Surveillance video from a grocery store captured images of three people buying the materials used to make the acid bomb. That video helped police identify their suspects.

Tyler Joshua Bowman, 18, Daniel Thomas Morales, 18, and a 15-year-old have been charged with possession/manufacture of a prohibited weapon. Bowman and Morales were released from the Galveston County Jail after posting $10,000 bond.
