3 Robbed In Mission Bend In 2 Hours
Deputies are investigating three crimes that happened within a matter of hours in Mission Bend on Friday.
Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said a man was attacked while he was jogging in Mission Bend Community Park on Paso Del Sol near Bellaire Boulevard about 4 a.m.
Investigators said three men threatened the man but did not display any weapons, and they stole his cellphone and car keys. The men drove away in the victim's 1982 Oldsmobile Regency, detectives said.
The men were described as black and in their late teens to early 20s. One of the men is about 5 feet 7 inches tall while the other two are about 6 feet tall.
Detectives said the next incident happened about 5:20 a.m. on Beechnut Street near Addicks-Clodine Road.
A woman was stopped in a turn lane when a gold-colored Cadillac pulled in front of her, officials said.
Investigators said the front-seat passenger in the Cadillac got out of the car and approached her with a gun. The woman turned off her car and got out.
Deputies said the gunman told the woman to throw her purse into her car. The gunman got into the car and the woman ran away, investigators said.
The gunman couldn't get the woman's car started, so he took her purse and got back into the Cadillac, officials said.
The gunman was described as black, in his early 20s and about 5 feet 5 inches tall.
Detectives said a man was almost robbed while standing in front of his home in the 15500 block of Ensenada Drive about 5:40 a.m.
Two attackers approached the resident, and one of them pointed a gun at the resident, officials said.
The resident was screaming and the attackers told him to be quiet, but he kept screaming, officials said. The attackers then left in a small blue car without getting anything from the resident, deputies said.
One of the attackers was described as 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing blue cargo pants and appeared to be armed with a .22-caliber rifle. The other person was described at 14 to 15 years old and about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
Anyone with information about any of the crimes is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
