Driver Exiting Private Driveway Hits METRORail

No Injuries Reported

A METRORail train was involved in a minor accident Monday morning near the Texas Medical Center.

The accident happened at 10:08 a.m. as the train traveled south on Main Street.

METRO officials said the driver who collided with the train failed to yield the right of way when exiting a private driveway.

This is the 34th accident involving a METRORail train since the 7-mile system began operating in November.

No injuries were reported.
