HOUSTON -- A driver was caught Friday after she allegedly was involved in a hit-and-run accident with a METRORail train, police told News2Houston.Investigators said the woman hit the train in the 5000 block of San Jacinto near Rosedale around 1:15 p.m. and immediately left the scene.METRO police found the driver a short time later and charged her with disregarding a traffic signal. Officers said the woman would not be charged with leaving the scene of an accident since she was rushing her elderly mother to the hospital.
This is the 23rd accident involving a METRORail train since it began operating in November.
