HOUSTON -- Houston Crime Stoppers and police announced Wednesday they are offering the largest reward in national history for information relating to the quadruple homicide of four Clear Lake teens in July.
With help from the community and a benefit concert held Thursday, Houston Crime Stoppers is offering a $100,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.Police still have no suspects in the case of the four teens found slain inside a Clear Lake home on July 20.
Families in indescribable pain pleaded for the public's help in solving the crime during a Crime Stopper news conference Wednesday morning.George Koloroutis, the father of one of the victims -- 18-year-old Rachael Koloroutis (pictured, right) -- spoke to the public for the first time Wednesday.
"The feelings of my family are hard to express in words. Our hearts are broken and our lives are shattered. Yesterday was the four-month anniversary of this horrendous murder. Tomorrow is our precious daughter's birthday. She would have been 19. She would have been in her freshman year of college," Koloroutis said.Police said 19-year-old Marcus Ray Precella (pictured below, right) was also found slain in the home. His relatives described him as a young man with a bright future."You didn't know my son. If you knew him, you wouldn't have forgot him because he loved everything that he touched and he always tried to help his friends," Precella's mother Charlene Gronewold said.Crime Stoppers spokeswoman Kim Ogg said the murder of the four teens should not be tolerated."I pray that our society has not become so numb that this offer and this plea falls on deaf ears," Ogg said.
The other two victims in the case are Tiffany Nichole Rowell, 18, and Adelbert Nicholas Sanchez, 21. Their families did not attend the news conference.Crime Stoppers said the reward is for all the victims.Police department officials said they have no motive for the murder.A 100,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to arrests and convictions in this case.Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS.
