DALLAS -- Giving birth to quadruplets is a rare event in itself, but one young Dallas mother gave birth to four babies doctors say are especially unique.
First-time mom Amanda Davis gave birth to four babies at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, but the number of babies she bore isn't what's so surprising to doctors.According to officials, the 18-year-old gave birth to two sets of identical twins, one set of boys and one set of girls.
Hospital officials said the odds of such a delivery are about one in 10 million.
Following the delivery, Davis said she was doing just fine."I'm real happy, when I get to look at all of them and everything like that," Davis said. "I couldn't wait for them to get here to see what they was going to look like and everything. And now they're here and I can see their faces and everything like that. It makes me real happy."Doctors delivered the Davis babies through C-section.Davis said the babies' names are Abby, Lexie, Ryan and Zack. The new mother was reportedly not taking fertility drugs.
